Here’s a poem I wrote late spring in the beginning of the pandemic, for my brother, inspired by how one tragedy calls up another.

Oh Lana, I didn’t know your tremendous loss, I am so sorry.
Your profound expression always delights and is a pleasure to read. Thank you!
Thank you, Dori. I always look forward to your writing.
Lana, I’m holding back tears as I write this. Your poem speaks to me as my siblings and I age, and I imagine how devasted I would/will be to lose either my brother or my sister, even to natural causes. There is so much pain in this world, and while poets like you bring it to life in your work, I hope that as a reader I can take some of that burden from you by sharing that pain just a little bit. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words and compassionate reading of my poem. It means so much to me.
Beautiful
Thanks, Sherry.
Lovely poem.
Thank you, Christine.
